CHP in Chongqing (Changshou) Chemical Industry Park

Located within Chongqing (Changshou) Chemical Industry Park, the construction of the CHP plant began in 2001. Veolia was the unique energy service company authorized by the local industry park committee to provide steam to more than 80 industrial factories within the park and enable them to benefit from a self-supporting power station. According to the contract, Veolia provided investment, construction and operation services to the CHP plant.

To better meet the growing demand in energy and enhance the security of steam provision, the construction of phase II was completed in 2013 and operation began the same year. More than 800,000 tons of steam is sold and distributed via 13 km pipelines each year, and 189 million KWh of power is generated to support the                                                                                                                                           electricity consumption within the park.

CHP in Chengdu Dayi Industrial Cluster Development Zone

Chengdu, Industrial energy, CHP, tri-generation

Located in the suburban area of Chengdu, Dayi CHP plant has been managed by Veolia since 2010 to provide stable steam and electricity to local industrial customers in Chengdu Dayi Industrial Cluster Development Zone. As the only district energy pilot project approved by Sichuan Provincial Government, Dayi CHP plant is also the unique energy service company authorized by local management committee.

The cogeneration system enables waste energy from heat production process to be collected and transformed into electricity for self-support within the industrial zone. This solution reduced the cost of power generation and its carbon footprint. In 2015, over 600,000 tons of steam were sold and distributed to more than 30                                                                                                                                                                   industrial customers via 11 km pipelines.
