Gold Award for HKDC’s Safety Enhancement Program

HKDC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Veolia that provides district cooling to development in the ex-Kai Tak Airport in Hong Kong, was awarded Gold Award by the Occupational Safety & Health Council, Labour Department of Hong Kong and Construction Industry Council for its Safety Enhancement Program for Working at Height.

As early in the design stage, HKDC has incorporated safety measures in the plant design. These measures were further optimized throughout the construction and operation stage thanks to the regular reports from staff from all levels. Continuous efforts of HKDC have resulted in zero accident rates since 2014.
