A clean and green attitude in Singapore

Singapore’s National Environment Agency has honored Veolia for the quality and effectiveness of its urban cleaning services.

Urban sanitation is a Singapore priority.

The city-state’s commitment to a clean urban environment means it has exacting standards. Veolia, which is responsible for managing day-to-day public cleaning services for Singapore’s Central-North and Central-South regions, has successfully met that challenge.

Veolia’s contracts were extended for an additional six years in 2014, and the company was honored with the Clean-Mark (Gold) Award, given to the best supplier of public cleaning services, by Singapore National Environment Agency.

Over the past five years, Veolia has emerged as the top service provider for major events in the city-state. The company has provided sanitation and waste management services for Singapore’s Formula 1 Grand Prix race, the Singapore marathon, the National Day Parade and the Chinese New Year celebration in Chinatown.

By renewing its trust in Veolia and singling out the company for the quality of its services, the Singapore government has demonstrated that Veolia is able to offer concrete, reliable solutions for meeting the challenges posed by major cities around the world.”
